As almost every building in Prague, this wall has own legend. Many people still believe that the only reason of building this, was to give people a job so they dont die on famine. Another legend says that king Charles IV. worked on this wall a few hours a day to "meet and help his beloved people". This is kinda ridicolous...
A shit of wall e.e
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I like the way it looks haha, even if it has some shady reasons behind its building

ReplyDeleteGoing to prague this summer. cool site
ReplyDeleteIsn't amazing how people used to build things that could last centuries? Now you can't get anything with that kind of warranty.
ReplyDeletePrague is beautiful city, I was there in 2001.
ReplyDeleteLooks really cool. I need to visit Prague.
ReplyDeleteSome things are better untranslated.
ReplyDeleteI've been on a very short trip to Prague three years ago - I managed to see some of the most important things, but nothing in detail. I believe that you can't find the most interesting places, those unmentioned in official guides, without spending at least a week there. Can you recommend some good place to sleep?
ReplyDeleteI love castles. We have many here in Greece from byzantine times. It's epic just to sit on the Wall and look at the view like some warrior from old time!
